Det är med största glädje jag kan berätta att konserten i Dalhalla kommer dirigeras av Gustaf Sjökvist. Gustaf var min chefsdirigent när jag satt i Radiokören och vi har jobbat tillsammans under många, många år. Just i sommar har han lite mer än vanligt att stå i…. men som sagt: han kommer till Dalhalla 10e juli!

Martin Fröst och Roland Pöntinen är ju sen tidigare klara som gäster på Dalhalla- konserten 10e juli. Nu är det också klart att två av sveriges mest lovande unga sångare Markus Schwartz , baryton och  Daniel Johansson, tenor kommer medverka. Dessutom medverkar Torgny Persson från Team Rongedal  i Körslaget.

Min dröm är att få ge den svenska sommarpubliken en riktigt generös minifestival i absolut världsklass!! Om jag fick bestämma själv.. så skulle inramningen bli precis så här. Och nu fick jag ju bestämma själv…. så; jag har en väldigt lång låtlista, en av sveriges bästa orkestrar, två av världens bästa instrumentalister, världens vackraste scen , en bikini och några väldigt varma handdukar.

Två av Sveriges mest lovande unga manliga sångare Daniel Johansson, tenor och Markus Schwartz, baryton kommer också att medverka. Liksom Torgny Persson från team Rongedal i Körslaget.

Here it is! My first and only popvideo!  We really didn’t have any time as I was commuting back and forth to La Cenerentola at Oper Frankfurt, making a documentary for Swedish TV and also recording a classical cd with Stockholm Sinfonietta…

Now with Mr Kirkorovs and Mrs Netrebkos new Russian cover of La Voix JUST RELEASED I thought it would be interesting to compare the 2 versions. It really reminds me of how extremely hard it is to sing opera in a traditional pop-microphone recording. They have left out the the lowest ( low #C) and the the highest ( High Natural D) notes for Mrs Netrebko. And of course – as Anna is more of a Dramatic soprano than myself ( lyrical colloratura Mezzo) – they have left out the 2 octaves of colloraturas in the key change.
Other than that it s the same. An exciting version in the extremely beautiful Russian language.

Fredrik Kempe wrote the the song for me in 2008 and I co- wrote the text and the operatics. And we were truly thrilled when Mr Kirkorov bought the original backing tracks from us back in the fall of 2009. The song – both versions of course – are produced by Kim Wennerström and Elof Loelv at Hagagatan in Sthlm. To have Mrs Netrebko and Mr Kirkorov doing a cover of La Voix is- needless to say – a huge honour.

My  new Cd sold platinum in less than 7 weeks this summer!  Thank you all for that!! Tack så hemsk mycket! “La Voix Du Nord” is a double Cd containing 11 arias and 11 new popsongs and it was released in Sweden on july first.  It was the  8th most sold album overall in Sweden in 2009. Not too bad for an operasinger without limousines and fur coats…   It’s available  for worldwide delivery  right here!!!

Underbart att vara tillbaka i Helsingborg. I somras var det 3000 på Sofiero Slott och imorgon är det 2 utsålda konserthus. Det känns som Helsingborg är…en förbaskat trevlig stad!!

Ska bli superkul att fira våren i Trelleborg!!! Så här stod det i Trelleborgs Allehanda:
Folk köade utanför Trelleborgs turistbyrå, och även på de två andra försäljningsställena var det huggsexa om biljetterna till Malena Ernman i Söderslättshallen 18 april. Vid stängningsdags återstod bara en handfull av 1500 biljetter.

This is swedish comedian Christine Melzer  from Melodifestivalen 2010. She s me of course… in a typical, ordinary day of my life.

I have seen it at least 10 times in the last hour… LOLx1000.  Inget konstigt alls. Swe: nothing strange about that at all. I m just your ordinary mezzo soprano…  Tack Christine! I suspect Edward af Sillén might have something to do with this as well… ?Inget konstigt alls!

Den 14e januari är det dags för direktsänd konsert på 35 biografer runtom hela Sverige!! Dörrarna öppnas kl 19:00… här är alla spelplatser och biljetter!  En del av det  vi ska sjunga finns på senaste cd n – så det är bara sätta igång att öva…

If you for some reason lack some good christmas music…. here is the whole  Nordic Christmas concert, recorded in Aalborg, Denmark 3 weeks ago. Me and Carola, Melody Gardot, Michael Bolton and Jamie Cullum. Enjoy! I must say… I ve done a few tv galas over the years in quite a few countries BUT the sound quality from DR is in a division of its own!!! This is cd quality! For those in charge of Danish TV sound : I salute you!  However…. the ones writing the titles on to the tv screen may need some more training..:) God REST ye merry gentlemen…

Next week Peter Mattei and me do 9 x mas concerts in Stockholm. Then its off to Estonia for New Years Concerts.

Next year will be much the same as every year… Opera abroad and concerts in Sweden and around Europe.

I’m doing two Opera productions: Idomeneo ( Idamante ) by Mozart at La Monnaie/ De Munt in Bruxelles opening on march 16.

And in September it’s back to Vienna and William Christie and Les Arts Florissants for Händels Semele; with a great cast including my old friends Cecilia Bartoli  and Kerstin Avemo.

Lots of concerts too of course. Starting in Gävle on jan 5th. A concert with Stockholm Philharmonic entitled Singa a long opera will be screened live in cinemas all over Sweden on jan 14.

International highlights include Ligetis  Requiem  in Munich with Esa Pekka Salonen (may) and The Tales of Hoffman in Moscow (october) with Vladimir Jurowskij.

And yes… we re planning a new cd!
